IMU has a specialized Labs for maritime departments like B.Tech Marine engineering, B.sc Nautical science, B. Tech in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering rather than theoritical knowledge, practical knowledge makes a student more understand of a subject.
These labs helps to train the students who are intrested to get a job in ships.
Basic Science Laboratories for Chemistry, Physics etc., are also available.
