Laser-based photo-chemical and photo-physical transformations. | Green synthetic strategy to scalably synthesize various nanomaterials has been developed. Nanomaterials produced include nanoparticles, nanowires, metallic nanoribbons, graphene and its inorganic analogues, graphene nanoribbons and their hybrids. Laser shock nanoimprinting has been developed to scalably nanomanufacture large scale patterns such as trenches, grids, pyramids etc. Laser shock integration of atomically thin graphene with plasmonic nanostructures have successfully been demonstrated which have been employed as an excellent SERS platform for trace level molecular detection. Several emerging nanotechnological applications of such laser-based green technologies are expected to follow in the fields of catalysis, nanoelectronics, plasmonics and opto-electronic sensing among others. |
