About the Division:

AC & R Division is responsible for the Renovation, modification, design, planning, estimating, and tendering of heating, ventilation, and Air Conditioning of the AIIMS campus including new installation at the site.

AC & R Division is providing 24 X 7 operation and maintenance of 2900 TR Chiller plant, Cooling Towers, Air handing Units, Ceiling suspension unit, heat recovery units, fan coil units, cassette ACs, tower ACS, Air ventilation System, Boiler, Solar Water heaters, Split ACs, VRF & Dx Unit apart from the chilled water pipelines and ducting works.

Major Achievements:

  • Installation of Exhaust Air System for COVID -19 Testing room at a hospital building in ‘G’ block and installation of UV lamps inside the Air Handling Units ( AHUs) & installation HEPA filters at return air grill at COVID-19 OT of AIIMS, BBSR for COVID -19 prevention.
  • Cyclone damage repair of cooling towers fresh Air Ventilation system on the war-footing basis those were damaged during Cyclone system FANI during MAY -2019.
  • Servicing and modification of the cooling system of all Chiller VFDs are being carried out through the authorized service provider of the OEM (M/s Fuji) to achieve more than 90% of chiller efficiency which in turn is saving a huge amount of electricity.
