This century posed a greater challenge in management of non-communicable and infectious diseases and the reasons are multifactorial. In this context AYUSH system has a major role to play in providing preventive and promotive health care services based on strengths of each stream of AYUSH. The core values of AYUSH system of medicine are the holistic approach to diseases through the application of mind, body and soul principles. Each stream of AYUSH has its own strengths in addressing health and disease conditions. Synergy between these systems can provide better solutions to address current health problems.
Building the department from baseline to enable for providing highest standard of clinical services to meet the rising demand of people is the prime area of focus in recent. Continuous development and addition of newer services in the department will be the most priority. Collaborative efforts and shared responsibility are the key requirements to achieve these goals. Cross referral of patients, problem-based learning and knowledge sharing will pave the way for interdisciplinary research across the other department inside the institution.
