Department of Urology is currently offering –

Urolithiasis – Advanced Stone Treatments like PCNL, Mini-PCNL, Super-Perc, RIRS etc.

Surgical treatments for BPH – Bipolar TURP, TUEB

Uro-Oncological Services – Bipolar TURBT, 3D Laparoscopic/Open Radical Cystectomy with PLND, 3D Laparoscopic/Open Radical Nephrectomy/Nephroureterectomy with PLND, 3D Laparoscopic/Open Adrenalectomy, 3D Laparoscopic/Open Radical Prostatectomy with PLND.

Reconstructive Urology – All forms of Anastomotic and Flap/Substitution Urethroplasty.

Pediatric Urology – Hypospadias repair, Laparoscopic Pyeloplasty, Laparoscopic Ureteric Reimplantations, PCNL/URSL/RIRS For Paediatric Stone diseases.

Functional Urology – Assessment and treatment of Voiding disorders, Incontinence, Chronic Pelvic/Bladder Pain, Erectile Dysfunction, Male Infertility and other Andrological and Transitional Urological Issues.

The Department of Urology is committed to excel in clinical and academic activities and is committed to foster and develop innovations in the field of Urology. We are determined to provide evidence-based treatment to our patients with a mission to be a comprehensive one-stop destination for all urological health problems. We strive towards providing standard of care in all Urological sub-specialities including Renal Transplantation and Robotic surgeries.

We ultimately aim to establish the Department of Urology, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar as amongst the very best in our country in providing state of the art treatment facilities, education and research.

Major Achievements:

We are the only centre in Odisha and among the few in Eastern India, performing 2D/3D laparoscopic radical cystectomy, 2D/3D laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, Laparoscopic VEIL . We are routinely performing 3D laparoscopic Nephron Sparing/ Partial nephrectomy and Radical nephrectomy and all other advanced laparoscopic surgeries, reconstructive urology and endourology.
